General comments
Indicatie voor systemische behandeling (criteria NHG):
bij een furunkel boven de kaaklijn, algemene ziekteverschijnselen en bij risicogroepen (verminderde weerstand, verhoogd risico op endocarditis, verhoogd risico op infectie gewrichtsprothese)
Voor een optimale absorptie van flucloxacilline moet de patiënt nuchter zijn. Kan dit niet (bijvoorbeeld bij continue sondevoeding) dan is amoxicilline/clavulaanzuur een betere optie.
